Pesky Love Bugs and Ants

     For the last several weeks, ants have crept into my house and started attacking the dog’s food, my sugar bowl, or just about anything left sitting around. They’re annoying, and yes, they sting. My grandson was eating chips on the edge of my bed one day, and that night, I turned back my covers and almost crawled into a pile of ants.

     Ants are for outside picnics, not inside the house. These little buggers are tough. Against my better judgment and because of the harmful chemicals in the bug spray, I have to spray once in a while. They are annoying but I’d rather them not be here at all. Getting stung by ants isn’t for me.

     Then, if that’s not enough, there are all these pesky love bugs that are everywhere – literally thousands of them. Where do they come from, and why are they here?

     The front of my trail blazer is horrible and so is my windshield. I have to clean it off practically every day.

     I’m not one to complain about things but enough is enough. When will they go away?

     They’ve started clinging to the outside of the screens on my mobile home windows and every time we walk out, they land in our hair and start crawling all over us. If you live in Logansport, you know what I mean. Both the ants and the love bugs are annoying.

     I guess that’s part of living in the south! These pesky little creatures like comfort food, water and air conditioning, I guess!

     I went down to the drug store earlier to pick up a prescription and to my dismay, they were all over the front entranceway and in the store. It can’t be helped. They’re just everywhere.

     I read online at one place that the love bugs migrate here from Central America. They thrive on stagnant water and debris but they also just cling to almost anything, even humans. Google ‘getting rid of love bugs’ and find a solution that works better for you. That’s exactly what I’m fixing to do! I’m sick of the little pesky critters.

     Well, that wraps up my rant and rave for today. May the ants and the love bugs get on out of town!
